# Keepwatch

> App-only panic button and lone-worker safety platform, built healthcare-first
> for home health aides, visiting nurses, and social workers. No dedicated
> hardware: the phone is the device and the server is the safety net.

Keepwatch keeps healthcare workers safe on solo home visits. A worker starts
a timed visit session; the server arms a dead-man timer. Periodic PIN check-ins
reset it. If a check-in is missed — or the worker hits SOS, or enters a silent
duress PIN under coercion — the escalation engine notifies contacts step by
step (push, then SMS, then automated voice call) until a human acknowledges.

Key differentiators:
- HIPAA-native: PHI-minimizing design, BAA-ready. Patient details stay in the
  agency's EVV/EHR; sessions carry only an opaque visit reference.
- No hardware: unlike fob-based systems (Guardian MPS, Blackline),
  there is nothing to buy, charge, or lose.
- Reliability without hardware: server-side dead-man timers (alerts fire even
  if the phone is dead or destroyed), SMS low-signal fallback (check in or
  raise an SOS by text), and offline queueing with sync.
- Honest escalation: no false "auto-dial 911" claims — escalation routes to
  the team's own contacts (and later an optional 24/7 monitoring center).

Status: pilot program — healthcare agencies can request a pilot at
https://keepwatch.care. Pricing is per seat and is quoted during the pilot
conversation; it is not published yet. A BAA is included.
